Teleport Sword

The final part of the weapons (and utilities) week is one of the most iconic and useful ES weapons of all time, the Teleport Sword:
The Teleport Sword was created at the beginning of The Great War although the exact date is unknown. It, as the name suggests, is used to teleport Elementals to different locations and containment zones. The Teleport Sword was created with idea of capturing Elementals for information during the Great War but it soon developed a different use. The reason for this was that it could be used to transport vast numbers of Elementals to areas where their energy could be… used. It is not currently known where the energy is used or why but it is thought to have something to do with the SGT.

The Swords come in many varieties of length and range from a simple short sword all the way to a form of claymore. They work by infusing the target with a selection of Elemental Energy and other, manmade, materials that act as a transmitter for a distant Teleport Pole. Due to Elementals being able to fight the teleportation process when strong enough, it is generally advised to weaken the target before attempting to teleport them.  However, if the Elemental is too close to death, the teleportation process may kill the creature. For this reason, the Teleport Sword is only, generally, used when it is beyond reasonable doubt that the creature will be teleported. Before this time, Elemental Rays are used to weaken the Elemental.

Over the course of its lifespan, the Teleport Sword has experienced many improvements and is now a MK14 weapon. Improvements have consisted of increased teleportation capabilities to being able to be imbued with Elemental Energy by the Elemental Changer as well as other improvements that fixed problems such as the MK2’s liability to explode on impact.

Notable uses of the Teleport Sword exceed the amount of pages in this book and thus confirms its capabilities as one of the greatest weapons of the ES.
