The Legacy of O.U.T.L.A.W.S. No. 5 The Hunt Begins

INFOS flew up just as the nearest Chevron to Orpos opened fire...

The bullets (solidified Earth Energy fired at speeds of 3200 feet per second) struck the metal casing of the robot and ricocheted off. INFOS kept travelling forwards and, before he struck the Chevron, stopped... and transformed.
His spherical body flattened to form a flat, rotating, disk. The edges of the disk began to glow purple and radiate heat. INFOS turned on his side and sliced into the Chevron's right wing, tearing it off cleanly. The Chevron lost all control and careened into the ground, exploding on impact.
Exalndria tore off her backpack and ripped open the smallest pocket. She grabbed three small, pink spheres and tossed them towards the next Chevron. They broke into the cockpit and latched onto the pilot. There was a flash of darkness and the pilot was gone, the Chevron left to crash into the ground. Exalndria threw out four rings and the Chevron stopped just before it hit the ground.
Fam ran forward and leapt off of the side of the crater, her momentum carrying her high enough to land on the next Chevron. She stabbed her two water daggers into the splits of the sections of the armour before yelling "Flow!", increasing the size of the blades - the water running over the engine, navigation computers and armaments.
"Frigid!" she shouted, the water freezing. The jet fell. Just before it hit the ground, Fam shouted "Tidal!" and jumped free of the crash, Aiylier and Daiylier in hand.
Suddenly, the fourth Chevron was surrounded by a cloud of smoke. It started to plummet towards the ground, smoke continuously appearing in front of it. Gedrick holstered Smokespitter as the plane dove into the ground.
The final Chevron was heading towards Orpos, planning to slice into the oni with its razor sharp wings. Rather than dodging out of the way (or even saying his final thoughts and regrets), Orpos held out his hand... and caught the jet. The pilot had but a moment to realise what had happened (and react with an appropriate scream) before being thrown back across the crater.
"Well, that was intense," said Exalndria after they had all gathered around the final Chevron.
"I'd quite agree," responded Fam, sitting on the wing of the Chevron. She turned to the lexarch "Oh, and how did you even manage it?"
"It was quite simple really," replied engineer, shrugging "I threw some of Persephone's Pomegranates, combined with a biological magnet and drilling mechanic. When they entered the pilot's digestive system he was taken to the underworld."
"And the plane?" asked Gedrick, intrigued.
"Oh, that's even simpler. I 'caught' it with some anti-grav rings," she said, picking them up and putting them back in her backpack.
"And, since when could INFOS transform like that?" asked Fam, glancing at the robot.
"I received this upgrade precisely one month, 23 days, 12 hours, 34 minutes and 19 seconds ago... and, you're welcome Orpos..."
"Ah, yes, thank you INFOS," replied Orpos.
"What about you, Orpos? How are you holding up after catching a plane with one hand?" asked Exalndria, casually.
"Yes," Orpos glanced down at his hand "It does ache a bit now."
"Anyways, do you suppose that we could use the Chevron to get to The Hunter's Rock?" asked Exalndria, hopping into the cockpit, "It's not like the Hunters would shoot down their own ship," she motioned to the League of Hunter's symbol (an arrow with a key by the point).
"While that may be true, or it may not, how would we all fit on, there's only room for one person," said Orpos, surveying the cockpit.
"Well, I'm the only one who can fly this plane so I'm staying here," said Exalndria, strapping herself in as if to make a point, "And INFOS can fly, so he's fine..." she grinned, having thought of something, "And, anyway, aren't you meant to be big, strong field agents? You can run!"
Fam smiled, "Ah, so it's a race? Very well, but I think I'll get a head start," she started to run in the direction of The Hunter's Rock which was just visible in the distance.
"I don't like this," said Orpos, "But I don't plan on losing either," he set off as well.
"What about you, Gedrick?" asked the lexarch, after noticing that the dwarf hadn't left yet.
"Well, I'm not very fast, you see," replied Gedrick, his face reddening, slightly.
"Then, come and join me, there's more than enough room for one of your... stature."
Gedrick nodded, "I know... but I don't much like flying, either. The earth is where I belong."
"Okay, then, I'll see you later," Exalndria turned the ignition, "Last chance!" she shouted over the engine.
Gedrick thought for a moment before starting to walk towards The Hunter's Rock "No, I think I'll walk."
Exalndria shrugged, "Suit yourself."
The Chevron took off and soared in the direction of The Hunter's Rock, taking over the tiny figures below.
