Symbolism - Part 4

And now it's time for the final (so far) part of the Symbolism series where I focus on the ES and their symbols.

Symbol: The Chain of Command (ES Emblem)
Owner: the Elemental Slayers/Elemental Saviors (ES)
History/Meaning: the Chain of Command was created by the SGT in the very first days of the ES during the Age of Armament. It contains both the Elemental's ten pointed star and the SGT's own, personal symbols. Surrounding the Elemental's star is a chain that represents their [REDACTEDover the Elementals and their [REDACTEDof them. It, and its variants, is proudly worn by all ES members.

Symbol: The Concealer
Owner: [REDACTED]
History/Meaning: The Concealer was created by [REDACTEDafter his first experimentation on the Elements (sometime between the end of the Age of Elements and the beginning of the Age of Armament). It is descriptive of a close eye and represents the secrets of the world and of its owner. It would also appear to be an exact opposite of The All Seer (Truth's Symbol) although the relevance of this is still debated. It is worn by all followers of
[REDACTED].

Symbol: The Hoarder
Owner: [REDACTED]
History/Meaning: The Hoarder is representative of [REDACTED- as shown by the crossed arms and by its name - and was created at the same time as the other [REDACTED]- with closed rather than open arms. It is worn by all followers of
[REDACTED].

Symbol: The Warmonger
Owner: [REDACTED]
History/Meaning: The Warmonger's design appears to be an opposing edit of The Peacekeeper's and involves straightening the corn's shape into one that resembles a spiked club. This would certainly agree with the owner's ([REDACTED]) philosophies. It is worn by all followers of
[REDACTED].

Symbol: the Blade of War
Owner: ES Soldiers
History/Meaning: the Blade of War's design is based off of a sword and represents both the Soldier's weapon as well as their role as a fighter. It is pointed upwards to show the progressive nature of the Soldiers and of the ES. The blackness of the tip represents the evil that must be fought from without while the blackness of the hilt represents the evil from within. The black line running down the center of the blade represents the fact that evil will never truly go away as well as the link between evil from within and without. It, and its variants, adorns all Soldier (and new recruits) uniform and equipment, proudly and without exception.

Symbol: the Inscriber of Tactics
Owner: ES Generals
History/Meaning: the Inscriber of Tactics design is based off of a pencil and represents the intelligence of the General's as well as their tool of war. It, like the Soldier's symbol, is pointed upwards to show the progressive nature of the ES and Generals. The reason for the colours going from red to black to grey is that the Generals believe that intelligence (the red) stems from within but is then tainted by the evil of the world (the black) and, so, comes out dull and surrounded by evil (the black-lined grey). Most Generals interpret this as a way of saying that plans never work out the way they were meant to. It, and its variants, adorns all General (and new recruits) uniform and equipment, proudly and without exception.

Symbol: the Hammer of Creation
Owner: ES Technicians
History/Meaning: the Hammer of Creation is based off of a hammer and represents the Technician's ability and will to create. Once again, it is pointed upwards to show the progressive nature of the ES and Technicians. It is fully black as the Technician's believe that their tools remove all of the evil from their creations as well as that creativity stems from the Technician and not the tool. It, and its variants, adorns all Technician (and new recruits) uniform and equipment, proudly and without exception.
